Prayer Breakfast Would-Be Speaker

After the disappointment of the cancellation of this year's Prayer Breakfast, we have some exciting and important news to share with you!

Nationally recognized speaker and Bible teacher, Ellie Lofaro, had been scheduled to speak at the New Life Center Prayer Breakfast for the past two years.  As you are aware, due to flooding issues, the difficult decision was made to cancel these events both in 2009 and 2010.  Ellie has followed our situation with deep concern for the physical, spiritual and emotional needs that have resulted from two years of battling floods in our area.  When she learned of our decision to cancel again this year, she graciously offered to come to Fargo on an alternate date, to be determined once the scope of this year's flood was known.  Now that the flood waters are receding, we are pleased to announce that Ellie Lofaro will be speaking in Fargo on Thursday, May 6 at 9:30 a.m. at Bethel Evangelical Free Church.

This opportunity is a cooperative effort of several women's ministry leaders, the local National Day of Prayer Committee, and the New Life Center Prayer Breakfast Committee.  It will be on a smaller scale than the Prayer Breakfast or the Evening Dessert, but women who attend will be inspired and challenged by the same message Ellie would have given at those events.  The title of her message is "Crossing Your River of Impossibility."

Advanced tickets are $5 and can be purchased at three area Christian Bookstores: Melbergs in Moorhead, The Rainbow Shop and Family Christian Store in Fargo.  Seating is general admission and is limited -Unlike the Prayer Breakfast, the seating is not assigned.  Ticket sales will be limited to the capacity of the Fellowship Hall at Bethel Evangelical Free Church, which is 350 persons.  Coffee and muffins will be served.

We are so appreciative of Ellie's generosity, and are very excited that the women in our area will have the opportunity this spring to hear this gifted speaker who has such a desire to share the love of Christ with others.  Please plan to attend - and please encourage the women in your church to join you.
