Primary responsibilities are to execute simple preventative maintenance and perform routine scheduled cleaning in and around the building as well as the grounds as directed by the facilities manager. This also includes working with the facilities manager in a supportive role for larger projects.
Primary responsibilities include the oversight of all aspects of New Life Center shelter and the physical building during evening, weekend and holiday hours.Major components of the role consist of guest intake and oversight, security and safety of guests, visitors and other staff, physical building operation and safety, and occasional volunteer management.
Reporting to the operations director, this position is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. This will be accomplished by providing a warm welcome to the store;maintaining a clean, well-organized, well-stocked sales floor; locating desired items on the sales floor; fast, friendly and accurate processing of purchases;assisting in other areas of the store and warehouse, as needed. The thrift store sales associate / sorter will be cross-trained in all areas of the production and retail environment to include, but not limited to: providing excellent customer service, cash-handling procedures, processing donated goods(sorting, pricing and stocking).
