Communications Coordinator

The communications coordinator is responsible for coordinating, executing, monitoring and measuring New Life Center’s marketing and communications efforts under the direction of the advancement manager. Areas of focus include digital and print communications, fundraising events, marketing campaigns, press and media engagement, and community relations. The individual should be an excellent writer and have experience in social media and graphic design. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is energetic, organized, creative, self-motivated, and ready to join a busy team.

Emergency Services Case Manager
Full Time

Primary responsibility is to provide direct case management services to New Life Center guests with the goal of moving individuals to a place of self-sufficiency. Key elements involving individualized case management and coordination of care include but not limited to: building meaningful relationships with guests; providing guest support and accountability; assisting guests in securing stable housing; providing spiritual care; and collaborating with other community partners and programs.

Thrift Store Truck and Warehouse Assistant - North

The truck and warehouse assistant is a key member of the North Fargo thrift store team. This role is centered on helping donors with their donations at the store and on the truck, assisting the warehouse supervisor with inventory management, and lending a hand to other store staff as needed.

Thrift Store Sales Associate / Sorter - South

This position is responsible for ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers at our South Fargo store. This will be accomplished by providing a warm welcome to the store, maintaining a clean, well-organized and stocked sales floor, fast, friendly and accurate processing of purchases, and assisting in other areas of the store and warehouse as needed. The thrift store sales associate / sorter will be cross-trained in all areas of the production and retail environment to include, but not limited to: excellent customer service, cash-handling, and processing donated goods (sorting, pricing and stocking). Starting wage is $14 per hour.

This position plays a key role in thrift store operations. This position sorts through all incoming donations to assess quality and determine pricing and demand for gently used clothing and accessories. The position is also responsible for ensuring quality merchandise is placed on the sales floor with accurate pricing.

This position is a key part of a team that supports individuals receiving care for chemical dependency, mental health, and offender rehabilitation. Students in criminal justice, sociology, social work or related field are encouraged to apply. Primary responsibilities include oversight of the Genesis Recovery Program during evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Major components of the role consist of Christian discipleship; faith-based recovery programming; guest oversight; coordination of guest care with case management staff; security and safety of guests, visitors and other staff; building maintenance and sanitation; and occasional volunteer management.

Primary responsibilities include shelter oversight during evening, weekend, and holiday hours. Major components of the role consist of guest intake; security and safety of guests, visitors and other staff; physical building operation and maintenance; and occasional volunteer management. Starting wage is $17.00 per hour with potential for $1.00 per hour wage increase after 6 months of employment, based on performance.
